Background:
My name is Benjamin Genter, and I am a 3rd year statistics and wildlife ecology & conservation major at the University of Florida. My current research focuses on phylogenomics and species delimitation within the southeastern crowned snake complex (Tantilla), a small group of snakes native to the southeastern United States. I have also worked on projects studying the phylogeography of horned frogs (Megophryidae) with Nanjing Forestry University and investigating the prevalence of snake fungal disease in Kirtland’s Snakes (Clonophis kirtlandii). I am an avid photographer, and in my free time I am dedicated to building a library of field-guide style photographs of wild North American herpetofauna.
If you would like to use my photographs for any reason, please email me: benwgenter@gmail.com
